OS Final Exam on 2/10

The final exam of the Operating Systems will take place on Feb 10, 1310-1440 (3rd period) in Lecture Hall 205 (M5).

The schedule of the final exam for the operating systems class has been fixed and now confirmed by the Student Affairs Divisions. It will be 2/16 (Mon) 3rd period (1310 to 1440) at S6 classroom (Research Quadangles 281).

As it was discussed in the class this week, we will have the final exam of the operating systems class on 2/16 (Mon). However, this date needs to be confirmed with the finalized schedule of the other classes exams.

The Student Affairs Divisions (SAD) has published the initial plan for the final exams. The instructor plans a business trip during the 1st week of February which conflicts with the exam date in the initial schedule. Therefore, we plan to conduct the exam on sometime during the 2nd week of the February that is convenient for both of us. Please check the above schedule and let the instructor know if you have any exams during the 2nd week.

OS Exercise, Next Week and Final Exam Schedule

1. As announced in the class yesterday, this week's exercise problem will be posted during this weekend. The deadline of submission will be before Monday midnight (at 2359). Any hint, correction, notice or clarification will be posted on this board and/or sent by email. Also, I will try to make myself available for your question on the Monday afternoon.
2. Next week, which will be the last day of the class, we will proceed to Chapter 5 "INPUT/OUTPUT." We will concentrate on the first four sections; especially Section 5.4 "disks", which is significantly related to what we have learned in Chapter 4 "File Systems." Once again, please read these sections of the textbook before coming to the class.

Since the final exam for the OS class is on Tuesday this week, the office hour schedule for this week has been changed to Monday 2-5pm.

Final Exam Schedule

Earier on this board, it was mentioned that we might extend the final exams lengths. It is determined that we will not take this option and the final exams for both OS and LP classes will take place as they are scheduled officially.
